"So what is the role of religion? The role of religion is to give the means to reinforce and develop even further the natural kindness of sentient beings. I think society can live in peace thanks to the inner peace human beings have developed through their intelligence. Thus, I believe that to have world peace we must first have inner peace. Those who are naturally serene, at peace with themselves, will be open toward others. I think this is where the very foundation of universal peace lies."
